Support Immune Function with Vitamin D

Vitamin D is an essential vitamin important for healthy immune function. Most cells have receptors for vitamin D, enabling it to help modulate adaptive and innate immunity and inflammation. These actions can help enhance the immune system’s ability to respond to infection, allergy and autoimmunity.[1-4]
Vitamin D may also help protect against respiratory illness. A large study found that vitamin D reduced the risk of respiratory tract infections compared with placebo.[5]
